At Rumours Rarotonga our five luxury waterfront villas are right on the beach at the world renowned Muri Lagoon.  Our beachfront villas are just three steps from door to water, while the two others are ten steps from door to water.  You have your beach recliners and ample room to sunbathe and relax,  either on the beach itself or on one of two decks front and rear of each villa.  The tropical lagoon has no motorised vehicles allowed which makes it a peaceful haven.  The only noise will be the relaxing sound of the waves breaking on the outer reef.

 

In Muri lagoon you can enjoy snorkelling around coral formations and watching beautiful tropical fish in their natural environment.  If you prefer to stay dry there are glass-bottom boat tours, or you can paddle a canoe.  If a breeze is up and you feel like a buzz, enjoy a windsurf or pop down to the sailing club nearby and watch the locals sail their small yachts, while sipping your favourite cocktail on the deck of Sails Restaurant.

For many the view and dip in the water is heaven enough.  Our chef can prepare a gourmet meal in your villa or maybe a fully cheffed barbeque by your pool in your courtyard.  We also cater picnics for you on the beach and if you are an early bird, the Muri beach sunrise is something you will never forget.  Many of our guests also like to pick up a bottle of their favourite wine and head down to Black Rock beach to watch the sun set.  A hugely romantic thing to do and the sunsets can be just spectacular.
